A former international competitor in two different sports, his passion for nature and rivers has taken him to all corners of the globe.

As the lead guide for Ride The Verdon, Aurélien holds the Professional Certificate in Youth, Community Education, and Sports with a specialization in Canoeing, Kayaking, and Related Disciplines, as well as the Whitewater Certification.

The Verdon Grand Canyon

Located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, between Marseille, Nice, and Digne-Les-Bains, it is the longest canyon in Europe. A true paradise for outdoor sports, the Grand Canyon is more than 20 km long and can reach a depth of over 700 m.

At the bottom of this immense gorge flows an emerald-green river: the Verdon, a true natural gem, wild and virtually inaccessible.

Amid the limestone cliffs, you’ll have the opportunity to admire the rich diversity of flora and fauna in the Verdon Regional Nature Park.
